With ALASCA OpenSnac, we have teamed up with ALASCA to create a format that has been missing in the German-speaking world until now: well-researched, practical, and at the same time easily accessible. Through our daily work, it became increasingly clear that while there is a strong technical foundation and many dedicated players, there is a lack of continuous dialogue, exchange of experiences, and personal conversations
For the production of this content, UhuruTec—an active member of the association—and ALASCA are pooling their resources and contributing their combined practical experience from real-world projects, thereby creating a platform for everyone involved in open-source infrastructure. Our goal is to raise the community’s profile and strengthen its connections.

Why did ALASCA OpenSnac start?
Together with ALASCA we launched ALASCA OpenSnac because a practical, accessible and technically grounded voice around OpenStack, Kubernetes, Cloud-Infrastructure and the surrounding community was still missing in the German-speaking market. In daily project work it became clear that technical depth existed, but shared visibility and ongoing exchange did not.
What connects ALASCA and UhuruTec?
As an active ALASCA member, we were convinced that this podcast fills a missing piece in the ALASCA ecosystem. Together we combine resources, practical experience and an open platform for everyone working with OpenStack, Kubernetes, sovereign cloud infrastructure and open-source technologies.
How is ALASCA OpenSnac produced?
ALASCA OpenSnac is produced jointly by ALASCA and UhuruTec. What connects us is the same understanding of open source. The production setup stays intentionally simple and compatible so that participation remains easy. The podcast therefore lives the principles it talks about: open, accessible and collaborative.
