On 1 and 2 July 2026, we were delighted to co-host the second ALASCA Community Hackathon in Stuttgart. This year’s event was especially meaningful for us, as 1 July also marks UhuruTec’s anniversary. Celebrating this milestone together with the open source community made the occasion even more special.
It was fantastic to see so many members of the ALASCA community making the journey to Stuttgart once again. Over two days, small teams collaborated on a wide range of open source projects, exchanged ideas, and worked together to further strengthen sovereign cloud technologies. The open exchange of knowledge and the collaborative spirit are exactly what make this community so valuable.
As a co-host, we are grateful that we could once again support the community and provide a welcoming place for everyone to meet. One of the highlights was our UhuruTec Summer Party, held between the two hackathon days. We were thrilled by the great turnout and the many conversations that continued long after the technical sessions had ended.
Whether over dinner, during lively discussions, or while enjoying games of mini table tennis and beer pong, the evening was filled with laughter, networking, and celebration. These moments of personal connection are just as important as the technical achievements and are a key part of what makes the ALASCA community so unique.
A heartfelt thank you to everyone who joined us, to ALASCA, and to all sponsors and supporters who made this second Community Hackathon another outstanding success. We are already looking forward to the next one.
